Modi-Shah Begin Election Blitzkrieg In Jharkhand
X
Shocked by the final outcome of the Maharashtra and Haryana, where the BJP failed to secure a majority on its own and had to struggle to form a government, the BJP is now taking no chances in Jharkhand election. In Haryana, the BJP could form a government only with the help from Dushyant Choutala of Jananayak Janata Party. In Maharashtra, it has already expressed its inability to form the government. To a large extent, this is because of the BJP’s over confidence.

So, this time around, it is pulling all stops to ensure a victory in Jharkhand. As part of its publicity blitzkrieg, the national leaders and star campaigners will campaign vigorously from November 21. These leaders will address as many as 50 public meetings. Leading the pack is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will address eight rallies in the state. Party national president Amit Shah will address 20 meetings. Amit Shah will address meetings on November 21, 25, December 5, 9,14, 17. Other senior leaders like Adityanath Yogii, Rajnath Singh and others will also address election rallies. The BJP wants to showcase the achievements of Raghubar Das government besides campaigning on issues like abrogation of Article 370 and solution to Ayodhya dispute.

Raghubar Das is the first non-tribal Chief Minister of Jharkhand. All the earlier CMs were from the tribal community. The BJP wants to win this election badly and wants to wipe out the bad memories of the Maharashtra and Haryana. It feels a victory in Jharkhand is important as it helps boost the morale of the party in the Delhi assembly elections, which will be held early next year.
