Modis tough action: No passports, schemes in Kashmir
X
The Narendra Modi government is cracking down on the Kashmiri separatists with iron fist. The Government is determined to go to the root of the terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. After identifying and weeding out government employees sympathetic to the separatist and anti-Indian causes, the government has now trained its guns on the stone-pelters.

The JK Government has now announced that no government welfare schemes would be given to those who have resorted to stone pelting. They would not get any government job in Jammu Kashmir or anywhere in the country. Similarly, they would not be issued passports to visit other countries. The JK government will not cooperate with them in the police verification for their passports.

The government has also announced that the antecedents of these people would be done on the basis of the video footage, social media posts, photographs and electronic media clips. These would be taken as proof of their participation in the stone-pelting incidents. Based on this, no passports would be given to the applicants if they are found to be involved in incidents of stone-pelting, arson and attack on the security personnel.

After the controversial article 370 was removed and the state was divided into two Union Territories, the incidents of violence and secessionist protests have significantly come down. The government has begun a crackdown on these elements and has taken tough action against them.
