Mr Chandrababu, This is Modi BJP, Not Ataljis

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is desperate to make amends. He now realizes that abusing PM Narendra Modi and taking on BJP before the Lok Sabha elections was a very serious error of judgment. His calculation that the BJP will be an ineffective player was a mistake. Though the BJP did not get many votes, it ambushed the TDP campaign, fund flow, and last-minute logistics. Coupled with these, the YSRCP wave ensured that the TDP is reduced to its lowest ever tally. Chandrababu now feels that antagonizing the BJP was a grave mistake. Now, he is desperate to go back to BJP - not as a dominant partner but as a junior party like Apna Dal to save itself.
But, the BJP seems to be in no mood to relent. It has not forgotten Chandrababu's domineering attitude while in the coalition and his abusive attacks after walking out of NDA. Despite Sujana Chowdary's attempts to bring about a patch-up, the BJP is not willing to let Babu in. On Thursday, BJP AP affairs in-charge Sunil Deodhar has categorically stated that there was no question of any alliance with the TDP. He said Chandrababu and his party were synonymous with corruption and casteism and that the BJP would never align with the TDP again.
Deodhar's comment's on cash for vote scam and the Polavaram project irregularities give enough indications that the BJP is in no mood to play second fiddle to the TDP in future. It wants to grow as the major Opposition to the YSRCP and push the TDP to the third place. So, it's hard luck for Chandrababu. The present BJP is Narendra Modi's BJP not Atal Bihari Vajpayee's BJP.
