After Gujarat elections results were out, AP BJP Leaders made tall claims about its influence on AP Politics. MLC Somu Veerraju declared BJP won't beg but demand seats from alliance partner in AP during next elections. He went on to say saffron party will be in a position to decide winner of 2019 Polls in Andhra.
TDP Leader Mullapudi Renuka has given a strong counter to the comments made by BJP Leaders. 'Everyone knows the strength of BJP in Andhra Pradesh. It's like a stick attached to the lollipop. Even if there is no stick, There won't be any change in the sweetness of the chocolate. We formed an alliance with BJP only with the agenda of seeking necessary cooperation from Centre for AP post bifurcation,' she commented.
In response, BJP MLC Somu Veerraju challenged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to make similar comments if he had the same feeling about BJP. 'If what she said is true, Let CM announce that TDP don't want alliance with BJP. We don't have any objection what-so-ever,' he dared to ask.
Whereas, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu advised party leaders not to attack BJP as of now in the best interest of the state.
