Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed new Citizenship Law was 1000 percent correct. He went on to say, 'New Citizenship Law will guarantee shelter in India for religious minorities (in small number) from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who has suffered for years. Our decision is correct. There is need to improve the lives of people who suffered just because they were a minority in other nations'.
NaMo claimed NDA Government saved India by making the Citizenship Amendment Law. He held Congress and other Opposition Parties responsible for the unrest in West Bengal, Assam and Northeast States over the new Law.
Violence erupted in West Bengal and Northeast States where Protesters set trains, buses and railway stations ablaze. Responding on the same, Modi said people who are setting fire can be identified by the clothes they're wearing.
On the protests staged in foreign country over the Citizenship Amendment Bill, PM commented that Congress which was behind them has done what Pakistan has been doing for long.
