What will be the next move of former minister and education baron rnPonguru Narayana? This TDP leader, known more for the chain of namesake rneducational institutions, has been keeping an unusually low profile all rnthese days. Weighed down by the spate of cases against him and the raidsrn on his institutions, Narayana has not given much time to politics.

Timern was when Narayana practically lorded over the Amaravati area as the rnminister in Chandrababu Naidu regime. But, all that changed after Jagan rncame to power. Narayana was hounded by cases and had to move heaven and rnearth to escape from being jailed. Since then, he has not participated rnin any of the TDP programmes.

But, if sources are to be believed,rn Narayana is said to be seething with rage and wants to teach the YSRCP arn lesson. If all goes well, he is all set to contest the elections in rn2024 from his home turf of Nellore Urban. He is said to be determined torn defeat the YSRCP at any cost and is said to have begun preparations forrn the same.

In fact, Narayana had lost the 2019 elections by a rnslender margin of 1000 votes to Anil Kumar Yadav. All through the rncounting, Narayana maintained a lead, but the last two rounds saw a rnshocking reversal of fortune and led to Narayana's defeat. Anil Yadav isrn said to be inaccessible to the voters of his constituency and is said rnto have become quite unpopular. Narayana wants to capitalize on this rnchink in the YSRCP armour and avenge the 2019 defeat.
