Donald Trump, US current President is visiting India before he kick starts his re-election campaign in USA, for second term.
He is scheduled to talk alongside Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at Sardar Patel Stadium, most popularly known as Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
This visit is just scheduled for 3 hours and the speeches could end within 2 hours of time. But for this visit, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Ahmedabad Urban Development Association are spending Rs. 100 crores.
Out of it, Rs. 15 crores are sponsored by Indian Government. Rs. 80 crores of 100 crores are being spent on construction of roads and re-modelling structures. 12-15 crores will be spent on protection of Donald Trump.
A total of one lakh people will be assembled at the event in Motera Stadium and Rs. 7 to 10 crores are being spent to arrange all the basic amenities for them. A total of 10,000 police constables, officers are assigned the security duties during the event.
Rs. 6 crores are specially being spent to plant Palm trees on either side of the roads for Trump's welcome. This is thrice the expenditure of what GHMC spent when Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump visited Hyderabad.
