With the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic ringing the danger bells in India, one after the other states are imposing restrictions and night curfew as a bid to contain the virus spread.
The national capital Delhi added to the list of States/Union Territories that have imposed restrictions to curb the infections. To fight the deadly virus, the Delhi government imposed a night curfew.
The night curfew will be in effect till the 30th of April from 10 pm to 5 am. The government said that people who are going for Covid vaccinations and essential services will not be stopped. But they have to get the e-passes for this, the government said.
In the statement, the Delhi government said, the Private doctors, nurses, other medical staff, journalists, and pregnant women will be barred from the restrictions, the government observed.
Talking about the situation in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the fourth wave of the novel Coronavirus is going on. The idea behind imposing a night curfew is to track the public movement, he said.
"As per the current situation, we are not considering imposing a lockdown. We are closely monitoring the situation and such a decision will only be taken after due public consultation," Chief Minister said.Earlier, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan have imposed restrictions to curb the infections.
