Independence Day is the biggest occasion to celebrate our victory against colonial rule. The Indian National Flag flies high across the nation on the eve. With the Indian government giving a call for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign which aimed at hoisting the tricolor, almost every house and establishment saw the flag flying.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign became hit to a point where the Indian Flags saw huge demand and record sales were registered. Sadly, the Independence Day fever started getting down in people slowly.

People who paint themselves as true patriots on occasions like Independence Day and Republic Day won't show respect towards the flags after the occasions. Once the day is celebrated most of the people throw flags on the roads which is a vocation of rules.

Many don't know that there are few guidelines on how and where to hoist the Indian National Flag. Seeing flags lying on roads a new campaign was started online to create awareness on how the flags should be respected.

To urge Indians to respect the flags and pick up the flags they see on the roads a new campaign asks citizens in the nation to pick up the flags. Pick up the Fallen Flags on 16th August is the new campaign that is making noise on social media. Netizens are supporting the campaign and urging others to respect the flags.
