Over the past few decades, Indians got used to Finance Ministers carrying briefcases to present budget in the Parliament. Preferring the brown briefcase has almost become a tradition when it comes to the Budget Session.

Much to everyone's surprise, Current Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman choose a red parcel-like bag with an emblem instead of a briefcase when she arrived to the Parliament for the budget presentation on Friday. She posed with MoS For Finance Anurag Thakur and Finance Secretary SC Garg in the North Block of the Finance Ministry ahead of tabling the Union Budget in Lok Sabha.
