No Political Party In Telugu States Is A Match For Trs In Receiving Donations

Both regional and national political outfits have submitted the election funds received from the corporates and individuals for the year 2019-20 to the top election body, the Election Commission of India (ECI).
According to the data, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), the ruling party in Telangana has received the highest funding in Telugu states with a donation of Rs 89.55 crore.
The second highest donations were received by the YSRCP, owned by KCR's Andhra Pradesh counterpart YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with Rs 8.92 crore. The TDP has managed to get a funding of Rs 2.60 crore, followed by All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) with Rs 13.85 lakh.
The funds received by the TRS include corporate funding worth Rs 89.15 crore and a donation of Rs 39.92 lakh from individuals. The 41 individuals who donated for TRS include IT Minister KTR, who made a donation of Rs 2.5 lakh.
After KTR, a person named K. Naveen Kumar has also donated Rs 2.5 lakh. The remaining 39 individuals have made donations towards the TRS party ranging from over 20,000 to up to Rs 2 lakh.
