Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the big names as far as the sports arena is concerned. He is one of the best captains to have led the Indian side and sports analysts say that the ex-skipper will go down as the best leader the Indian cricket team has ever found, given the trophies he lifted as a captain.

However, Mahendra Singh Dhoni also ended up landing in some controversies. An old controversy came back to haunt the former skipper of the Indian cricket team as the Supreme Court served notice to Dhoni in connection with an issue that has been going on since 2019.

Going into detail, the Supreme Court served notice to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in connection with the much-talked-about dispute between the Amrapali group of companies and Dhoni. Both parties have claimed that the other side owes money to them.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court tried its best in resolving the issue between the two parties through mediation, and a former Judge was given the responsibility. However, the Supreme Court also issued orders to stay the mediation process started by the Delhi High Court.

Earlier, Mahendra Singh Dhoni served as the brand ambassador of the Amrapali group of companies and also bought a couple of flats from the companies. However, both parties had issues over a flat and knocked on the doors of the court.

Now it is said that the Amrapali Group reportedly made an agreement with Rhiti Sports Management Pvt Ltd (RSMPL) and some money given by the owners to buy the flats was allegedly diverted.

A team of auditors, who were given the responsibility of looking into the matter had unearthed the alleged fraud angle and diversion of funds. The auditors told what they have observed and based on the same, the Supreme Court served notices.

As a big relief for the buyers, the Supreme Court said that there is a need to safeguard the interests of the busters and also asked the court receiver to look into the matter and make sure that there will be no issues in the process of handing the falts to the buyers will go on smoothly.
