More than two years after its entry into the world too, the Covid pandemic is not showing any sign of slowing down. On top of this, new variants of the Covid pandemic are coming out making our fight against Covid weak. Everyone thought that the fight was over when the vaccines were manufactured.

Proving the opinion wrong, a new variant that can withstand the immunity supported by the vaccines emerged. Compared to India, western countries are suffering from the new variants. The United Kingdom and the United States, which faced a tough time with the Covid outbreak are suffering from another variant.

As per the media reports, BA.4.6, a subvariant of the omicron COVID variant is ringing danger bells in the United Kingdom and it is driving the majority of the cases in the nation. The variant is spreading at a rapid pace. Most of the samples in the nation are of the new sub-variant as per the reports.

The United States is also facing the heat of the new subvariant. Of late, the infections are caused by the new sub-variant in America. The data says that around 10 percent of the single-day cases are triggered by the new sub-variant of the Omicron variant.

It has to be mentioned here that, the Omicron variant hit the western nations very hard, and the earlier wave was caused by the Omicron. Though the variant was detected in South Africa first, the virus spread its wings in the United Kingdom and the United States.

The health system in both nations went for a toss in both nations. Now the new variant is ringing the danger bells in both nations. Omicron had a deadly impact on the two big nations and its sub-variant accounted for a good number of cases reported daily.

After troubling the UK and US big time, Omicron’s sub-variant is haunting both nations. What makes the BA.4.6 sub-variant of the Omicron dangerous is, that it has the same spike protein as the Omicron. Despite the sub-variant spreading at a rapid pace, the infections caused by it are not that severe similar to the Omicron.
