Pandemic Affect: Hyderabad Open Badminton Suspended

Badminton World Federation (BWF) said that the Hyderabad Open badminton tournament is one of the three tournaments that were supposed to get commenced as per the revised calendar of the sports body.
Talking about the cancellation of the tournament Badminton World Federation (BWF) Secretary-General Thomas Lund said that the changing circumstances in connection with the virus forced them to come up with this decision.
He went on to say that further information about the tournaments will be announced by them and no tournament can be conducted in Hyderabad in the near future.
Chief national coach Pullela Gopichand too reciprocated the same views and maintained that with the lockout is still active there is no possibility to conduct any tournament in August.
