When the novel Coronavirus is creating havoc across the globe, a famous University has carried out a study on the vaccination criteria for Covid-19 recovered patients and Corona patients.

A recent study was carried out by a team of researchers from the famous University of Pennsylvania in the US and the outcome of the study is that recovered patients of Covid-19 need only one vaccine dose, while the Covid-19 patients require two doses.

The researchers have given a reason for this. They believe that recovered patients of Covid-19 develop robust antibodies against the Coronavirus after taking the vaccine dose. Those who took the second dose of vaccine weren't much immune to the disease, the researchers said.

Coming to people who don't have the Coronavirus have to take two doses of the vaccine as they are not immune to the virus. They develop antibodies against the virus only after taking two doses of vaccine, the researchers observed.

Adding further, the researchers said, taking two doses of the vaccine comes in handy in beating the virus as the vaccine doses result in developing antibodies against the deadly virus, researchers said.

E John Wherry, director of the Penn Institute of Immunology showered praises on the study and said the findings on the vaccine efficacy are quite encouraging and gives more details on the immune response caused by the mRNA vaccine, he said.

For a better understanding of the vaccine efficacy, the researchers have carried out the study on more than 40 people, who administered the vaccine doses. Blood samples of the volunteers were examined before and after the vaccinations.
