The TDP in Telangana has little future and no person or party wants to touch even with a barge pole. No party wants to have an alliance with it and none wants to work for the party. But, even in a party that only has a past and no future, there is dissidence.
Sounds strange, but true. The other day, several TDP leaders have written to Chandrababu Naidu to replace L Ramana as the president of the Telangana TDP. They argued that he has been in power for over seven years, but has done precious little. They also complained that he is not interested in putting up candidates for the upcoming GHMC, Graduates MLC and other elections in the state. They also said that he is not available for consultations at the state party office as he is always preoccupied with undivided Karimnagar district.
As of now, Chandrababu Naidu has not responded to this despite being in Hyderabad. But, Ramana has announced that he would be available in the TDP state office on Tuesday and Wednesday and asked the party workers to come and meet him.
