Opinion Poll on Lok Sabha Polls Tells Good News To BJP?

What will be the outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls? Which party would win? Will the Bharatiya Janata Party have a good run like the previous two polls or will the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) led by the grand old Congress see an upper hand? These are the questions people who follow politics have now.

Given the comfortable position enjoyed by the BJP, the saffron party would emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha polls that are slated two years from now. However, the criticism faced by the BJP and the opposition parties coming together to gain strength hinted that the BJP would face a big shock.

Amid this, an opinion poll conducted by Times Now media outlet on the upcoming Lok Sabha polls says that BJP would record a hat-trick of wins in the Lok Sabha polls and win a majority of seats. As per the Times Now P- MARQ Opinion Poll, BJP would win as many as 292-312 seats.

Talking about the main opposition Congress and the UPA, the alliance would win 118-138. If we compare the seats predicted the BJP would win the polls with over twice the margin. The opinion poll also predicted that the possible third front would not create any impact.

On the other hand, the leaders who could be the possible opponents of Narendra Modi in the next polls are lagging as per the opinion poll. This is a piece of good news for the BJP and party leaders that the saffron party would have an upper hand.

It has to be mentioned here that in the 2018 polls, the party emerged victorious in the polls despite the criticism on various issues. However, the criticism has turned intense now and the Covid mismanagement has brought a bad name for the BJP not only in India but at the global level.

Though the BJP is likely to come to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls that are slated to be held in 2024 as per the opinion poll, we cannot come to a conclusion on the outcome. There are many instances where the opinion polls failed. For instance, a few polls predicted that Telugu Desam Party would win the elections in 2019 general elections. But the election result surprised everyone.
