Overall Crime Rate Decreased In Hyderabad

Top police officials said that Hyderabad saw a three per cent drop in overall crime rate in 2019. with the number of cases registered during this year decreasing to 15,598 as against 16,084 cases reported in 2018.
crime against women witnessed a slight increase with 2,305 cases reported this year as against 2,286 in 2018. Drunk driving cases increased to 27,737 this year compared to 26,856 cases. Around 91 per cent of the missing persons were traced and reunited with their families and 93 per cent of the missing women were traced and reunited with their families
The police revealed that there are 3,21,938 CCTV cameras in the city, 60,683 of which were added in 2019. In 4,216 cases, the CCTV footage was key to the investigation.
