Prime Minister Narendra Modi called US President Donald Trump to complain that Pakistan PM Imran Khan's extreme rhetoric and incitement of violence is a threat to peace. This is the first direct interaction between Modi and Trump post scrapping of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the 30-minute phone conversation, Indian PM and US President discussed about bilateral ties and regional matters. Modi stressed the need for crushing terrorism and ending cross-border violence.
When Trump placed the request to de-escalate the temperatures, Indian PM brought to his notice about the provocative comments made by Pakistan Leaders. Recently, Imran Khan described Modi Sarcar as fascist and supermacist while raising doubts over the nuclear arsenal of India.
Trump informed about speaking to his two good friends Indian PM Narendra Modi and Pakistan PM Imran Khan regarding Trade, Strategic Partnership and Reducing tensions in Kashmir. 'A tough situation, but good conversations!,' he told.
