A woman, who drew anti-CAA Muggulu (rangoli) in the foregrounds of the house of others, has been arrested in Chennai. During investigations, it was confirmed that she drew anti-CAA rangolis in others’ houses without their due permission. She was found to have drawn rangoli in front of the house of a 92year-old person.

On investigation, it was revealed that she was a member of a facebook page called ‘Fights for All.’ This Facebook page belongs to the All Pakistan Association of Citizen Journalists and is from Pakistan. The woman in question, identified as Gayatri Kandadai, has been arrested along with eight other women, who drew rangolis in front of others homes. The police are now looking into the antecedents of the woman and her father. They are also probing her links with Pakistani social media sites.

The police in Tamil Nadu have launched an investigation into the women who drew Rangolis opposing the CAA, NRC and the NPR. Tamil Nadu saw huge protests through Rangolis against the CAA. Even leaders like Kanimozhi and Stalin have got anti-CAA rangolis drawn in front of their houses.
