Panic In Telangana Over Samples Testing

In what it could be a shocker, as many as 1,892 fresh infections were reported in Telangana on Friday. With the new development, the total cases zoomed to 20,462. The total casualties increased to 1,126with eight fresh casualties reported on Friday.
According to the health bulletin released to the media on Friday night a total of 5,965samples were tested by the health officials and 1,892 people were declared positive for the disease.
Raising many fears, a private lab has tested 3,726 samples and a lion share of the samples 2,672 turned out to be positive for the respiratory disease. The Health Department confirmed the same.
As per the health bulletin, the positivity rate of the samples tested stood at 71.1 which is an all-time high ever since the pandemic entered the state. On the other hand, a mere 962 samples tested negative for the virus out of 3,726 samples.
However, the Health Department said, an expert committee will be constituted to study the test results and look into the possibilities. Till then the data given by the particular lab will be under reserve.
