The resume is a key factor in getting a job. Many candidates miss on job opportunities as they fail to design a perfect resume that will impress employers. Creating a good resume that consists of all the information like education and any previous experience is an art. The structure of a resume has changed over the years.

Everyone got to know what the resume looks like a few decades back when Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates took to the professional networking website LinkedIn and shared the resume he made when he was just 18. The single-page document shows the resume was made on fax or typewriter.

“Whether you're a recent grad or a college dropout, I'm sure your resume looks a lot better than mine did 48 years ago,” Bill Gates captioned the post.

The resume which is around five decades back says it was drafted when Bill Gates was pursuing his first year at Harvard University and he applied for a systems operator job. The single-page documents had all the vital information, like his education details and various courses he pursued.

It is a shock to know that, one of the richest persons in the world once applied for a job when he was studying. Later, he co-founded Microsoft which made him see massive fortunes.

The current generation also got to know how the format of the resume changed over the years. The current format of the resume is either two pages or more than that.
