Acting on a complaint, the Police raided a pet store in Hyderabad and arrested a few people. The accused are facing allegations of displaying exotic pets which is a violation of law. Besides arresting the accused, the officials also seized a few animals and sent them to the rescue centers.

Going into details exotic animals are said to have been displayed in a night pub in Jubilee Hills. A social media user found this and alerted the concerned cops. They swung into action and raided the premises. They found a few exotic animals and seized them. Seven people were arrested in the case.

Media reports said that exotic pets which are not meant for display were displayed at the Xora Pub in Alcazar Mall. The issue was taken to the notice of the cops and they started a joint operation with the help of the state Forest Department officials. They first reached the pub and arrested seven people.

Later they went to a pet store for further investigation and seized some animals. The seized animals were sent to rescue centers. The pub owner, manager, and a few others were arrested in connection with the case.

It is said that an event was held at the pub to attract the customers and for this, the owner approached pet stores and they sold them a few exotic animals which were displayed at the pub. A person got to know about this and informed the police who in turn reached the pub and seized the animals. Pub owner Vinay Reddy, pub manager Varahala Naidu, the shop owner Yaser, and a few others were arrested.

The seized animals include 4 Persian cats, three Bengal cats, two iguanas, two sugar gliders, a pair of cockatiel birds, and a sun conure bird. After seizing them the Telangana Forest Department officials collected them and sent to the centers.

However, the pub management has something else to say. They are saying that they have the required permission and that the pets displayed also have licenses. The owners also said that utmost safety was ensured for the pets that are displayed at the pub.
