Etela Rajender loses his portfolio, to be sacked from the Cabinet soon!

Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender is a hot topic in the state now. A day after allegations of land grabbing against him were leveled and the government ordered an inquiry against him, he faced a big blow.
The Health Ministry portfolio held by Etela Rajender was allotted to CM KCR. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has approved the recommendations sent by KCR to allot Health Ministry to him given the Covid-19 scare.'
In a letter released by the Secretary to the Governor, it is confirmed that the Medical, Health & Family Welfare portfolio held by Etela Rajender was transferred to CM KCR.
"On the advice of the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Hon'ble Governor has approved the transfer of the Medical, Health & Family Welfare portfolio from Sri Etala Rajender to the Chief Minister with immediate effect," the letter reads.
Now Etela Rajender has no portfolio with him. This development gave rise to the media reports that Etela will be sacked from the Telangana Cabinet.
Looking into the controversy, farmers in Achampet and Hakimpet have complained to CM KCR against Etela for land grabbing assigned lands. Based on the complaints, KCR has ordered a detailed probe into the allegations.
As per the media reports, ACB Vigilance Director-General Purnachander Rao will lead the probe. The Medak Collector reportedly told the vigilance officials that Etela Rajender has links to the episode.
Taking all these developments into consideration, experts say that the preparations to sack Etela from the Cabinet might be underway and he might be shown the door any day soon.
