Given the deadly outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, the educational institutions including schools and colleges were forced to shut as a bid to contain the contagious disease.

Following this, the Private School Owners Association of Telangana has written to Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, aka KCR listing out the problems they have been facing since the lockdown was imposed with the virus outbreak.

It is believed that in the letter, the private school Association said that they are yet to receive the tuition fees for the academic year 2019-20 from the parents of the students.

The association requested the state government to take over the private schools in the state and make them free from the problems they are going through for the last six months.

Due to the severe financial losses, the private schools were in a situation to not even pay 50 percent of salaries for the non-teaching staff. Adding more difficulties, the parents have not paid the pending tuition fees for this academic year. With no option left, we are requesting the government to take over the schools, the association said in the letter.
