Congress leader, general secretary of the All India Congress Committee in charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi who is a vocal supporter of the ongoing farmers' agitation against the Agriculture bills attended the Kisan Mahapanchayat.
The Mahapanchayat was held in
Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Addressing the Kisan Mahapanchayat,
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra breathed fire on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over
the Agri bills row.
The Congress leader said, Narendra Modi is
behaving like kings, we heard in old stories whose arrogance increased
with power. They never bother about the problems faced by the people.
She
targeted the Prime Minister over various issues like the hike in fuel
prices and cooking gas. The Gandhi scion accused the PM of not listening
to farmers' concerns and demanded the government to repeal the bills.
She
alleged that just like how Narendra Modi has sold the country to his
billionaire friends, he also wants to sell the land and earnings of the
farmers in the country with the Agri bills.
Drawing a comparison
between diesel prices, the Congress leader said, currently the Diesel
price is between 80-90 Rs per litre now, which was Rs 60 back in 2018.
She
took a dig at Prime Minister who visited the United States, China and
Pakistan, and other nations, but doesn’t have time to visit the farmers
who are protesting five to six kilometers from the PM Residence.
