The ongoing rift between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and opposition Congress over the vacation of government bungalow made it to the headlines with Priyanka Vadra rubbishing the reports of her asking the government to extend the accommodation.
Going into details, last week, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development sent notices to Congress leader Priyanka Vadra to vacate the 35, Lodhi Estate bungalow before the 1st of August.
However, some media reports claim that Priyanka Vadra sought more time from the government to extend the time to vacate from the Lodhi Estate bungalow allotted to her in the year 1997.
With the reports gaining a lot of attention Priyanka Vadra responded to the reports and claimed them as fake and said as per the deadline given by the notice, she will vacate the bungalow before August 1st.
The notice served to her stressed about the new rules which state the Congress leader is not eligible to stay in the bungalow as she doesn't come under the Special Protection Group (SPG) security cover.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central government removed three leaders- Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Vadra removed from the security cover in November, last year. The trio are under the CRPF Z-plus security cover
