India's ace Badminton player PV Sindhu is just one win away from winning an Olympic medal. Sindhu showed her dominance and overpowered her opponent Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the quarters held at the Musashino Forest Plaza.

PV Sindhu had finished the first set quite comfortably with 21-13. But she faced a tough fight in the second set. Giving her best, Sindhu finished 22-20, thus winning the semis 2-0.

Sindhu entered the semis by winning against Denmark's Mia Blichfeldt on Thursday. She sealed the game with 21-15 21-13.

Indian fans are showering praises on Sindhu for keeping up the winning streak. As she is the only badminton player from India left in the Olympics, fans are having high expectations on her.

The official account of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 for India called the match a hard-fought contest.
