Forming alliances with parties with different ideologies is a tough task and safeguarding it is a bigger task. The grand old Congress party went through a tough time with the strong Right-wing party Shiv Sena as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance involving Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP.

While the Congress party follows a strong secular ideology, Shiv Sena is a Right-wing party. We have seen how the proposal made by the then-Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to change the name of Aurangabad Sambhajinagar after Sambhaji, the elder son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, celebrated Maratha emperor.

Now the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance is seeing cracks after Rahul Gandhi made objectionable comments on Savarkar. Saying that Savarkar wrote mercy petitions to the Britishers Rahul Gandhi maintained that BJP and RSS idolise him.

Uddhav Thackeray's friction's MP Sanjay Raut who walked out of the prison recently reacted to the comments made by Rahul Gandhi would surely impact the alliance. Though he said that the alliance would not break the MP maintained that it would surely cause some breaks.

Sanjay Raut said that Rahul Gandhi is doing a good job with the Bharat Jodo Yatra and maintained that there is no need for him to target Savarkar. What made Rahul Gandhi target Savarkar repeatedly where there is no need? he asked.

Sanjay Raut's comments raised a new discussion that the comments made by Rahul Gandhi would make a big impact on the alliance and he placed the alliance at great risk. Savarkar is a celebrated personality for Shiv Sena and they will not take any criticism on him.
