The third phase of the nationwide vaccination drive to vaccinate people between 18-44 in India will be kick-started from the 1st of May. The vaccination drive is just days away from today.
With the vaccination drive date fast approaching, the Narendra Modi-led Union Government has started the registration process for the drive. The registrations will start from 4 PM today.
Taking to Twitter, the Aarogya Setu app, the mobile application developed by the Centre for contact tracing, syndromic mapping, and self-assessment said, the registrations will be opened on Apr 28. Based on the centres that will be available, the vaccinations for above 18 will be started.
"Registration for 18 plus to begin on http://cowin.gov.in, Aarogya Setu App & UMANG App at 4 PM on 28th April. Appointments at State Govt centers & Private centers depending on how many vaccination centers are ready on 1st May for Vaccination of 18 plus, " the tweet reads.
RS Sharma, CEO of the National Health Authority has also tweeted that the Co-Win APIs for vacancies search and downloading certificates of vaccinations for third-party applications were started by the Centre.

The announcement on the third phase of the vaccination drive from the Centre came last Monday. The first phase of inoculation in India was started in January this year.
In the last 24 hours, India reported more than 3.6 lakh new Covid-19 cases, taking the total caseload to over 1.79 crore. With record casualties of 3,293 new fatalities, the total deaths in India rose to 2,01,187.
