India, the second worst affected nation globally with the deadly outbreak of the novel Coronavirus has started the massive vaccination drive against the pandemic earlier this month.

The DCGI has approved vaccines developed by Pune based Serum Institute of India and Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech for the vaccination drive. The health workers and front line warriors across the nation will be vaccinated in the first phase of vaccination.

However, despite the vaccination drive was launched, a major share of Indians are not ready to get vaccinated with the vaccine.

Over the past few weeks, the percantage of Indians with reluctance to take the vaccine has come down a bit, but a lion share of Indians are in no mood to get vaccinated as they are not sure about the efficiency offered by the vaccines.

The survey conducted by local circles has found out that 60 percent of Indians are still reluctant to get vaccinated with the virus to beat the Coronavirus.

The firm has conducted a similar survey in December last year. The outcome of the survey is that 69 percent of Indians are not ready to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

Though the percentage has come down by nine percent, 60 percent of Indians showing relantance towards taking the vaccine dose is a serious issue.

While Indians are not very sure on the efficiency of the Covid-19 vaccine, the other fears like whether the vaccines can tackle the new virus strains is one of the reasons behind the reluctance.
