The present situation in Maharastra politics seems to be same as Karnataka resort politics. The Union minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari announced that Devendra Fadnavis would become the CM. Sena senior leader Sanjay Raut has said that no one can break his MLAs and there is no compromise in the 50:50 formula. Earlier the Shiv Sena MLA's met in the Uddhav Thackrey's house and all the MLA's were shifted to Rang Sharada Hotel for two days. In the present situation, all the leaders of Shiv Sena should be together said, Sena leader Sunil Prabhu

On the other hand, BJP leaders like Girish Mahajan, Chandrakanta Patil and Sudhir Munganti War met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan this afternoon. They said they had discussed with him the legal steps that should be taken in case of delay in the formation of the government.

The assembly expires with the 9th of this month. If this is not resolved, then the President rule will be implemented in the state. The BJP, which won 105 seats, and the Shiv Sena, which bagged 56 seats they won 161 seats together in the 288-member House, much above the halfway mark of 145. Besides, the opposition NCP won 54 seats while the Congress got 44 seats.
