Bijepur By-Poll Results Shock Everyone

BJD candidate Rita Sahu won with a huge majority by-poll results 2019, won with a huge margin of 97,994 at the end of 21 rounds of counting. Rita Sahu won a total of 1,35,957 votes, BJP candidate Sanat Gartia managed to get 37,967 votes, while Congress candidate Dillip Panda manages to get 5,873 votes.
Voting for the Bijepur by-poll election was held on October 21, voters turnout was 78.96 percent The Odisha Chief Minister had contested from the Hinjili and Bijepur constituencies in the last Assembly elections. However, later Naveen vacated the Bijepur seat and nominated Rita Sahu to contest the by-poll. Soon after the announcement of the results, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to Rita Sahu over the phone and congratulated her for the massive win.
