Rohit Sharma decided to stand close to the batsmen at Short Leg, Silly Point and Leg Slip areas as specialist.

VVS Laxman used to take these positions, while Rahul Dravid was permanent fixture as a slip.

They both were known as quick responding fielders at the close positions and both took more than 100 catches in Tests for India.

Rohit Sharma who made twin centuries as opening batsman in Vishakapatnam test, decided to take Short Leg position in ongoing Pune Test.

Twice he got hit by Du Plessis shots in spin bowling of Ashwin and Jadeja. He managed to stay foot.

Temba Bavuma who came after Du Plessis got out, started slogging spinners to put them off their line and length. Unfortunately, one ball hit Rohit on his calf, and he couldn't walk too.

Now, Hanuma Vihari, the birthday boy is fielding in place of Rohit and we have to wait and see, if the new Indian opener will recover from the injury in-time for third test or not.

Virat Kohli, captain of Indian Team, is playing his 50th test as captain and he is looking to pull off a famous innings victory against South Africa on Sunday in Pune on 4th day, to seal the series.

He scored 254* in the Indian innings to help the team reach 600 and India enforced follow-on on South Africa after acquiring a healthy lead of 326 runs.

At the time of writing this article, India still needs 3 wickets to win the match. With 2-0 scoreline, India will be the dominating winner of Gandhi-Mandela Freedom Cup in India, this year!
