Rss Says Govt Failed In Tackling Second Wave

In what is not exactly going to be music to Modi's ears, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said that the Central Government was indeed negligent after the first wave of Corona subsided. The comment comes at a time when the Oppostion and the media has been criticising Narendra Modi and his government for the handling of the Second Wave of Corona.

Speaking at a virtual meeting organised by the RSS with the title "positivity unlimited," Mohan Bhagwat said that the people, the administration and the governments have neglected their duties and responsibilities after the first wave. There were indeed early warnings of the second wave and several experts had been warning. Yet, the people at large, the government and the officialdom were negligent, he said. He said there was a possibility of a third wave.

Calling for waging a relentless battle against the invisible enemy, Mohan Bhagwat said Indians should learn from their mistakes and should work to improve self-confidence. There was no need for despondency, he said. He said that death cannot deter us. Crises in fact teach us how to defeat the adversity and win. He said death is not defeat. The fight should continue, he said.

The four day programme had speakers like Jaggi Vasudev, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Azim Premji and others.
