The Panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh came to an end. The fourth and final phase of polls was held on Sunday in a peaceful atmosphere. The elections recorded more than 80 percent of the voting percentage.

The ruling YSRCP has made a clean sweep in Pulivendula, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's constituency. This is an indication that Jagan still holds a strong image in his constituency.

Pulivendula constituency has seven mandals that comprise 109 Panchayats. Pulivendula, Vemula, Lingala, Simhadripuram, Thoduru, Chakraypeta, and Vempalli are the mandals in the constituency.

Vemula Mandal has 16 Gram Panchayats, out of which 13 Gram Panchayats were claimed unanimously. The remaining three Gram Panchayats witnessed elections and the candidates backed by YSRCP won the three Panchayats.

The Thonduru and Chakrayapet Mandals witnessed the unanimous elections in fifteen and sixteen Gram Panchayats. YSRCXP supporters have won all the seats.

Out of the 109 Gram Panchayats in the Pulivendula constituency, the ruling YSRCP has won 108 Gram Panchayats in the 2021 edition of the Local Body polls. The election was not held in the Velamavaripalle constituency.
