Speculations went viral that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be announcing retirement from limited overs cricket after 2019 World Cup. As of now, There is no official confirmation from either the Legend or the BCCI regarding the retirement.
When he was asked if Dhoni's should retire, Sachin Tendulkar opined: 'It's his personal decision. He should be given that space to go out on his own terms. He had a special career in the limited overs cricket. How many cricketers have a career like this? People believed India could win as long as he was in the middle. His valuable contribution to Indian cricket should be respected'.
In the Semi Final on Wednesday, Dhoni kept the hopes of India alive till the 49th over and helped India recover from 92 for 6 while chasing 240. Getting runout in the 49th Over ended India's World Cup campaign. Many people anticipated Mr.Cool to announce retirement after India's exit from the tourney but that didn't happen.
May be, Dhoni delayed his retirement by few months after losing Semi Final. He could be announcing retirement during one of the upcoming tourneys in India.
