Nayini Narsimha Reddy... the portly, mustached, dhoti-clad politician has always been a fixture in old Hyderabadi politics. He has represented Musheerabad constituency and has been a top notch trade unionist in and around the city. The high point of his career was when KCR made him the Home Minister of the nascent Telangana government.
But, Nayini's career seems to be ending up tamely. Nayini's term in the council is all set to end soon and there seems to be no possibility of his being renominated. This will bring curtains down on a long political career. He has fallen out of KCR's favour of late. He has expressed his dissatisfaction over his son-in-law not being given a party ticket to contest from Musheerabad in 2018 elections. Since then, he has fallen out of KCR's favour. KCR has not spoken to him ever since. During the recent RTC strike too, Nayini Narsimha Reddy came out in support of the unions. This again was not to the liking of KCR.
Now that his term is coming to an end, the KCR, in all likelihood, will not renominate him to the council. While his colleague Karne Prabhakar, whose term too is coming to an end, is sure to be renominated, Nayini may be denied another chance and may be forced to retire from active politics.
