Days after landing in an unwanted controversy, renowned Indian tennis player Sania Mirza broke her silence and issued a statement. She said the trending news is fake news.

Going into detail, BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who represents the Goshamahal constituency alleged a calf was shot dead in Parigi in Vikarabad district near a farmhouse that belongs to Sania Mirza.

These allegations created quite a stir and the news had been trending on various social media platforms. Even a few mainstream media outlets have also carried out stories on the issue.

With the controversy increasing day by day, Sania Mirza issued an official statement to condemn the news and said the farmhouse which is said to belong to her is not hers, reports claimed.

'I really didn't plan to respond to this false crazy story but just to put an end to this I would like to issue the following clarifications: I do not own any farm house in Parigi. I do not have any person by the name that has been mentioned in the media in my employment. And lastly I have been out of the country since beginning of September,'' her statement read.

The MLA even added that the Tennis player was present when the calf was shot dead and urged Telangana Chief Minister KCR to register a case on people who killed the cow.
