Sharmila's Padayatra: See which media house didn't get adverts

YS Sharmila's 400 dayâPadayatra has just begun. It would be a while before one gets a feel of whether it's successful or not. But, there is something very interesting about the yatra. The yatra has got the maximum coverage from a media house, that even late YSR called his enemy and has even got its editor arrested on an SC, ST Atrocities (prevention) case. For many old-timers, this is another proof that there are no permanent enemies in politics.
While the supposed enemy gave huge coverage to Sharmila's yatra, it was reciprocated by full âpage adverts. Even the TV channel run by the same media baron too got a lot of advertisements from Sharmilaâs supporters. Guess which newspaper and TV channel got no advertisement from Sharmila at all? No marks for guessing, It's her brotherâs Sakshi newspaper and Sakshi TV.
This has shown that there is no love lost between the siblings anymore. It is also clear that Sakshi media is not seen as a friend anymore. In fact, Sharmila has even taunted the Sakshi media in the past and said that they wouldn't give her any coverage. It is another matter that Sakshi has covered the launch of her yatra as a Page 1 story. But, there was no advert for Sakshi. It was clear that Sharmila carefully avoided all the media house, online websites.
The Yatra began from Chevella on October 20. The yatra would cover the areas of former undivided Rangareddy district before entering into other districts. Sharmila will walk from 8.30 am till 6.30 pm with a break between 12.30 to 3.30 pm.
