Shock to Jagan, Ashok Gajapathi is the 'Raju' of Mansas again

TDP stalwart and Vizianagaram royalty Ashok Gajapathi Raju won a major legal battle on Monday when the AP high court termed the appointment of Sanchayita Gajapathi Raju illegal and directed the AP government to reinstate Ashok as the chairperson of the Mansas Trust and the Simhachalam temple trust board.
This is a major victory for the beleaguered Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who has been unceremoniously ousted by the Jagan Government. In March 2020, the Jagan government replaced him with his niece and daughter of Anandag Gajapathi Raju Sanchayita. Sanchayita is the daughter of Raju from his divorced first wife Uma. However, Ashok Gajapathi Raju challenged Jagan government's decision. The court, which gave its orders on Monday, has directed the government to re-appoint Raju
Sanchayita, who was living in Delhi and was running an NGO, was hand-picked by Jagan as the chairperson of the Trust. Mansas trust runs educational institutions and service organisations in and around Vizianagaram. She is also a member of the BJP. Among the institutions are 12 schools, colleges, including a medical college.
