Shock to Sujana: Recognition of ex-MP's medical college cancelled

In an incident that sends clear signals that industrialist Sujana Chowdary has fallen out of the BJP's favour, the recognition of his medical college has been cancelled. The National Medical council has directed Mediciti College, run by Sujana Chowdry, not to take any new admissions. The order will come into immediate effect and thus Mediciti would not be able to give admissions from this academic year.
Interestingly, Sujana's term as Rajya Sabha member too has expired and now his approach to the top bosses of the BJP has been curtailed. He is reportedly unable to get things done in the BJP dispensation. The cancellation of the recognition of the medical college, based in Warangal's Ghanpur, is the latest reversal to have been suffered by Sujana.
Sujana and CM Ramesh and TG Venkatesh, who were quite close to Chandrababu Naidu, had joined the BJP in the wake of the TDP's crushing defeat in the 2019 elections. The three, who were Rajya Sabha members, left the TDP. They were useful to the BJP which did not have the required numbers in the Rajya Sabha. It was rumoured that the troika joined the BJP to escape CBI and ED scrutiny.
However, several political observers felt that they were in fact sent by Chandrababu Naidu himself into the BJP so that they can act as a pressure group to protect TDP interests. However, the BJP kept them at an arm's length and did not allow them into the inner circles. Now that their terms have expired, the Central government has launched action against them.
