The National Investigation Agency (NIA) swung into action to the alleged plan made by Pakistan-backed Lashkar-e-Taiba in Hyderabad. The agency booked a case against Jahed of Musarambagh, Maj Hassan Farook of Humayun Nagar, and Sameeuiddin of Saidabad. They were arrested by Hyderabad Central Crime Station (Ccs) Police last year on the allegations of planning bombings and terror attacks in crowded places in Hyderabad.

It is said that the three received funds from Pakistan as Hawala to plan bomb blasts in Hyderabad. The initial investigation by Police reportedly found that the accused received explosives for the blasts. Given the intensity of the case, the NIA swung into action.

It has been widely reported that Jahed received around Rs 40 lakhs from Pakistan as Hawala for the terror attacks in Hyderabad. From the money, he reportedly brought a Royal Enfield bike. Police seized the bike and Rs 15 lakhs from him.

Surprisingly, a few cases were filed against Jahed in the past who was booked by the NIA in the alleged terror blasts row. He faced a jail term in the Hyderabad Task Force Office blast case in 2005. In 2004 he reportedly conspired for the killings of BJP supporters. Cases were filed against him in 2012 in the case of the attack on Jail personnel. He faced a jail term from 2005 to 2017.

With the Court quashing the Task Force Office Blast case, Jahed walked out of the prison on August 10 in 2017. Even after coming out of jail, he did not change his mind and continued terror activities.

Amid this, the Police investigation found that Jahed continued relations with three terrorists who escaped from Hyderabad and found shelter in Pakistan.

Jahed and his associates are said to have had a role to play in the 2002 bomb blast in front of Sai Baba temple in Dilsukhnagar, attack on Akshardham Temple in Gujarat in the same year, the Secunderabad Ganesh temple attack conspiracy case in 2004, and the blasts in Bengaluru's Nanded.

It is said that Hyderabadi Abdul Kaleem formed a team for the bomb blasts in Hyderabad with Adil Afroz,Sameeuiddin, Maj Hassan Farook, Abdul Rauf, Vajid Khan, Irfan Umar, and others.
