Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who had broken several records as a skipper added one more record under his name. The Run Machine had equaled the record of former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Virat Kohli, who is leading India in the ongoing fourth Test against the English team is playing the 6oth Test match as a captain. He had equaled Mahendra Singh Dhoni's record of leading the team in sixty matches in the longer format of the game.

The skipper led India to victory in 35 matches out of 59 matches. India lost 14 matches under his captaincy. Virat also holds the record of highest Test wins at home with 22 wins. Dhoni had 21 wins as skipper at home.

Coming to two World-Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he took Indian to victory 27 times out of 60 tests. Before Kohli, Dhoni was the successful caption for India.

Irrespective of the match result of the ongoing Test match, India will take on the black caps New Zealand in the upcoming World Test Championship. The Championship is scheduled to commence in June this year.
