Five persons rescued a Red Sand Boa snake which is worth around Rs 1.25 crore in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. The men who rescued the snake were trying to sell it in Narsinghgarh town of the district.

According to the officials, these rare non-poisonous snakes are used for making certain medicines, cosmetics and used in black magic and huge demand in the international market. The five persons who rescued the snake try to sell and out of the five persons three people were minor.

Police officials said that during the preliminary investigation the accused told police that they had bought the snake in Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh and came to sell it. However, they have been charged under the Wildlife Act.
