To take part in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic Indian Railways has come forward with a brilliant idea that is to convert the train coaches as isolation wards so that some more patients can be cured.
North Central Railway (NCR) General Manager Rajiv Chaudhary confirmed the same and said that the Railways will be converting a coach at the coaching depot plant at the national capital Delhi into special isolation wards once the medical professionals give a nod to it.
"A sleeper coach of a train is being converted and improvised into an isolation wards for patients suffering from Covid-19. Such a plan can help us be well-prepared to meet any emergency," Mr. Chaudhary said.
"NCR is also imparting training to its paramedical staff on for Covid-19 related procedures, especially ventilators. Videos posted on ministry of health and family welfare's website are being used to train staff," he added.
