Remember Veteran Sri Lankan speedster Lasith Malinga who gave a small heart attack for the Indian fans in the 2011 World Cup final by picking the early wickets of Dashing batsman Virender Sehwag and God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar in Wankhede. The bowler who is known for pinpoint yorkers has announced his retirement from international cricketers.

The bowler announced his retirement from international cricket through an emotional post on the microblogging site Twitter. He said he is retiring from all forms of international cricket.

The speedster said that he is shedding his hat from the T20 format of the game and said he is retiring from all forms of cricket. While thanking everyone who had supported him in the journey, Malinga maintained that he would share his experience with the young cricketers.

"Hanging up my #T20 shoes and #retiring from all forms of cricket! Thankful to all those who supported me in my journey, and looking forward to sharing my experience with young cricketers in the years to come," Malinga's tweet reads.

Malinga, who made his international debut back in 2004, had announced his retirement from the longest format of the cricket, Test, and ODIs earlier in January this year. Now the 38-year-old had a big goodbye to the T20 format as well.

He had also joined the list of successful captains of Sri Lanka by taking his team to the finals of the 2014 T20 World Cup lifted the World Cup.
