Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser who openly criticized United States President Donald Trump on the way he dealt with the BLM protests, now showed solidarity with the Americans who protested against the antic-racism protests.
The Mayor dedicated a section of 16th Street and officially named the street that leads to the White House as 'Black Lives Matter Plaza'. The videos and photos of the renamed area are going rounds on social media.
She even took to Instagram to share the videos and pictures of the street that was renamed as ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza’
"I'm happy to live in this period is that we have been forced to a point where we're going to have to grapple with the problems that men have been trying to grapple with through history, but the demand didn't force them to do it. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr #BlackLivesMatter," her caption for the post read.
