The governing body of cricket in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, had announced the final squad for the T 20 World Cup. The 15- player squad was announced on Wednesday. Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was given a chance into the final squad.

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was announced as the mentor for the T20 World Cup which will be played in the United Arab Emirates(UAE). His vast experience is expected to increase the winning chances of the Men in Blue.

Legendary Indian player Sunil Gavaskar gave his opinion on the new role of Dhoni and said he is the potential candidate to serve as the mentor for Team India. His experience and brilliance will come in handy, he said.

However, the Little Master Sunil Gavaskar expressed his concerns that no clashes will take place between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and head coach of Indian National Team Ravi Shastri. Didn't the team management think about it when he was appointed as the mentor for the tournament?

Gavaskar asked.

If Dhoni and Ravi Shastri end up having any disagreement on any issue it would have a serious impact on the team and it might hamper the team as well. I am just hoping that the duo has a good wavelength, Sunny observed.

BCCI's decision to appoint Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the mentor is a good decision for the team and it will do wonders for the team. As both Dhoni and Ravi have different approaches towards the decisions and tactics, they might have some disagreements which are not good for the team.

Under his captaincy, the Indian team had lifted the T 20 World Cup in 2007 and the 50 Over World Cup in 2011. His approach and experience will work in favour of the Indian team, Sunil Gavaskar opined.

Talking about the inclusion of right-arm off-break bowler Ravichandran Ashwin into the team, Sunil Gavaskar said, the chances of him finding a spot in the playing XI are very thin.

Team India will enter the T20 Tournament with a bang by locking horns with arch-rivals Pakistan. The high-intense match will take place on the 24th of next month. With Dhoni being the mentor, Indian fans are hoping that India will win the T20 Trophy.
