In a major boost to the YSRCP, the Supreme Court has struck off petitions filed seeking dismissal of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from the Chief Minister's post. The three-member division bench led by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul has said that the petitions filed by GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar is not fit to be taken up for hearing.

The court said that the there was no basis for the case as the petition was based on news reports. The court also felt that several contradictions in the petition. The court has also questioned the antecedents of Anti Corruption Council. "Where is it located and how is it getting funds? What are the sources of its funds," the supreme court questioned the petitioners. The petitioners had written an open letter and wanted the letter to be taken as the evidence in the petition. The court rejected their proposition.

Three petitions were filed, of which two have been struck down by the Supreme Court.
